The Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarship is a highly competitive and fully funded scholarship program offered by the Government of Sweden. It is designed for future global leaders who wish to pursue a full-time Master’s degree in Sweden during the 2026–2027 academic year.
The scholarship supports students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to sustainable development, social impact, and global cooperation.
Applicants must note that admission to a Swedish Master’s programme is a mandatory prerequisite for eligibility for the SI Scholarship.

Step 1: Apply to Swedish Master’s Programmes
All applicants must first apply for admission to eligible Swedish Master’s programmes through the national admissions platform.
● Application Platform: University Admissions (Sweden)
● Number of Programmes Allowed: Up to 4 Master’s programmes
● Language of Instruction: English
● Admission Requirement: A valid Master’s programme application is compulsory for SI eligibility
● Application Deadline: 15 January 2026

Without a submitted and valid Master’s programme application, candidates cannot apply for the Swedish Institute Scholarship.
Step 2: Apply for the Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarship
Once the Master’s programme application is submitted, eligible candidates can apply for the SI Scholarship.
