The 19th Session of the Conference of States Parties (COSP19) to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) is a high-level forum organized under the United Nations framework.
The conference reviews global implementation of the CRPD and brings together governments, Indigenous representatives, civil society organizations, and disability rights advocates to advance inclusion and equal rights worldwide.
Participation for selected Indigenous representatives is supported through the UN Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Peoples.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be Indigenous representatives or advocates
- Promote the rights of Indigenous persons with disabilities
- Represent an Indigenous organization or community
- Demonstrate financial need for support
- Commit to full participation during the conference
Priority is given to underrepresented communities and first-time UN participants.
Benefits
Selected participants will receive full financial support, including:
- International travel costs
- Accommodation in New York
- Daily subsistence allowance
- Participation-related expenses
Funding is provided through the UN Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Peoples.
