The JJ/WBGSP is a fully funded master’s scholarship funded by the Government of Japan and administered by the World Bank. It supports professionals from developing countries to study development-related master’s programs at selected top universities worldwide. The goal is to strengthen skills and knowledge that contribute to social and economic development in scholars’ home countries.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
• Be a national of a World Bank member developing country
• Hold a bachelor’s degree earned at least 3 years before the deadline
• Have at least 3 years of paid professional experience in a development field
• Secure unconditional admission (except for funding) to a participating program
• Not be World Bank staff or a close relative of staff
• Commit to return to their home country after completing studies

How to apply
- Apply and gain unconditional admission to one of the JJ/WBGSP participating master’s programs.
- Once admitted, eligible candidates will receive access to the JJ/WBGSP scholarship application form.
- Complete and submit the scholarship application before the deadline.
