A fully funded two‑week intensive training programme for human rights defenders organized by the European Parliament. The fellowship offers participants in‑depth exposure to EU policies, mechanisms, advocacy tools, communication and digital security, resilience, and networking with EU officials and human rights practitioners. Fellows will also join the Sakharov Community, enhancing their capacity to protect and promote human rights and fundamental freedoms.
Eligibility
- Open to human rights defenders from non‑EU countries with a proven record in campaigning for human rights (individually or with an NGO)
- High level of English proficiency to participate in discussions and workshops
- Selection considers gender balance, geographic representation, and diversity of human rights issues
