The African
Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AU-YVC) is a flagship continental program that
recruits and deploys young African professionals to serve across different
African countries for 12 months. The program is open to African youth aged
18–35 and offers a unique opportunity to gain professional experience,
contribute to Africa’s development, and engage in high-level continental
initiatives aligned with Agenda 2063.

Eligibility Criteria
• Nationality: Citizen of an
African Union Member State (including diaspora)
• Age limit: 18–35 years
• Academic background: Post-secondary qualification (TVET, Bachelor’s,
Master’s, etc.)
• Experience: At least one year volunteering and one year professional
experience
• Language: Proficiency in at least one AU working language
• Commitment: Available for 12 months and willing to work in another
African country
