Individuals (scholars, journalists, writers, artists) facing immediate threats or repression in their home country
Must have a proven track record of public engagement (e.g., research, media, literature, civil society)
Priority to those whose freedom of thought or expression is endangered
Able to reside in the Netherlands for the entire 5-month duration
Academic degree is not mandatory if applicant is active in public intellectual work
