🎯 Purpose & Focus
This fellowship is geared toward African journalists and fact-checkers who want to strengthen their capacity in fact-checking, verification, and investigative reporting. Over 12 days, participants will engage with leading experts, work on field assignments, and produce high-quality proof-based content for public impact.
✅ Eligibility & Requirements
Applicants must provide:
Full name and contact details (email, WhatsApp, etc.)
Valid passport status and number
Country of residence
Current job title
Professional experience category (<5 years / 5–10 years / >10 years)
Name and contact information of their manager or editor
Short biography (max 100 words)
Motivation statement: why the fellowship matters to them and their organization (max 100 words)
Explanation of how they will apply fact-checking skills in their work (max 100 words)
Statement: why they would like to be selected as a fellow (100 words)
Sample of fact-checking work: a link or screenshot / PDF (with subject line “2025 Fellowship Programme”)
Two social media links (X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
