Overview
The Swiss Confederation, through the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS/ESKAS), invites outstanding international candidates to apply for the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships 2026–2027. These prestigious awards promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and more than 180 partner countries.
Applications for the 2026–2027 academic year will open on 4 August 2025.
Scholarship Categories
Research Scholarships: For post-graduate researchers intending to pursue research or further studies at doctoral or postdoctoral level in Switzerland.
Art Scholarships: For highly talented artists wishing to undertake an initial master’s degree in Switzerland (available for selected countries only).
