Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is a fully funded scholarship offered by the Government of Korea for international students who wish to pursue Master’s and PhD degrees in Korea. The program aims to develop global leaders, strengthen international networks friendly to Korea, and provide advanced academic opportunities at Korean universities.
GKS is part of the Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) and offers scholarships to students from 156 eligible countries. Applicants can apply through two tracks:

Eligibility
- Applicants and their parents must not hold Korean citizenship.
Age Limit:
Graduate Program (KGSP-G): Under 40 years old- Undergraduate Program (KGSP-U): Under 25 years old
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
Degree Requirements:
Master’s applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree.- PhD applicants must hold a Master’s degree.
- Minimum GPA: 80% or equivalent (2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0).
- Round-trip airfare
- Full tuition coverage
- Monthly living allowance (900,000 KRW)
- Settlement allowance (one-time payment upon arrival)
- Medical insurance
- Completion grant after successful graduation
