KNB Scholarship 2026 – Fully Funded Bachelor’s, Master’s & Doctoral Degrees in Indonesia

The KNB (Kemitraan Negara Berkembang) Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship by the Government of Indonesia for students from developing countries. It supports Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees at selected Indonesian universities and aims to strengthen international cooperation and human resource development.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s Degree

• Maximum age: 21 years old (no more than December 31, 2026).
• Must hold a High School diploma (Bachelor’s degree holders are NOT eligible).
• English proficiency (certificate within last 2 years):
• TOEFL ITP 477 / TOEFL IBT 53 / IELTS 5.5 / TOEIC 510 or equivalent.
• Valid passport (non-diplomatic/work) valid until at least December 31, 2027.
• Recommendation letter from Indonesian Embassy/Consulate (country of origin).
• Recommendation from employer/supervisor (or statement if unemployed).
• Academic recommendation letter.
• Legalized High School certificate & transcripts (Ministry of Education & Foreign Affairs).
• 5-minute motivation video (YouTube link required).
• Certified medical report (issued within last 3 months) including infectious disease tests and drug screening.
• Willing not to marry Indonesian citizens or other scholarship recipients during scholarship period.
• Willing not to be pregnant during scholarship period.
• Not undergoing military service during scholarship period.
• Applicants from Africa must attach Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.

Master’s Degree

• Maximum age: 35 years old (no more than December 31, 2026).
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s holders are NOT eligible).
• English proficiency (within last 2 years):
• TOEFL ITP 500 / TOEFL IBT 61 / IELTS 6.0 / TOEIC 575 or equivalent.
• Valid passport until at least December 31, 2027.
• Embassy recommendation (country of origin).
• Employer/supervisor recommendation.
• Academic recommendation letter.
• Legalized Bachelor’s certificate & transcripts.
• 5-minute motivation video (YouTube link required).
• Certified medical report (issued within last 3 months).
• Same marital, pregnancy, military, and Yellow Fever conditions apply.

Doctoral Degree

• Maximum age: 40 years old (no more than December 31, 2026).
• Must hold a Master’s degree (Doctorate holders are NOT eligible).
• Recommendation from potential research supervisor at chosen KNB partner university.
• Statement of Purpose including research proposal.
• English proficiency (within last 2 years):
• TOEFL ITP 530 / TOEFL IBT 71 / IELTS 6.0 / TOEIC 640 or equivalent.
• Valid passport until at least December 31, 2027.
• Embassy recommendation (country of origin).
• Employer/supervisor recommendation.
• Academic recommendation letter.
• Legalized Master’s certificate & transcripts.
• 5-minute motivation video (YouTube link required).
• Certified medical report (issued within last 3 months).
• Same marital, pregnancy, military, and Yellow Fever conditions apply.
