The Photonics Summer Camp (PSC) 2026 is a fully funded four-week research internship hosted by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. The program offers hands-on research experience in advanced photonics fields such as semiconductor lasers, photonic integrated circuits, quantum technologies, optical communications, neuromorphic computing, and imaging systems.
Participants will work closely with KAUST faculty and researchers in state-of-the-art laboratories, attend technical workshops, and engage in practical training.
There is NO IELTS, NO TOEFL, and NO English language test required for this program.
There is also NO application fee and NO program fee.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Senior undergraduate students, recent graduates, or current Master’s students
- Background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or closely related fields
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 (or equivalent)
- Strong academic and research interest in photonics
- Ability to participate in the full program duration
