University of Waikato Scholarships 2027 - (New Zealand) Fully-Funded

The University of Waikato Scholarships provide financial support for international students pursuing undergraduate or master’s degrees. This includes the prestigious Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship, awarded to high-achieving students for full-time study in New Zealand.

Eligibility

  • Open to all international students.
  • Must be a new full-time student at the University of Waikato.
  • Hold a conditional or unconditional offer of admission.
  • Minimum GPA equivalent to B+.
  • Not currently enrolled or previously paid tuition at the university.
  • Not sponsored by an external organisation.
  • Not for study abroad, exchange, or guaranteed credit programmes.

Benefits

  • Tuition fee credits up to NZD $15,000.
  • Undergraduate awards: $2,500–$15,000 depending on study duration.
  • Postgraduate awards: $2,500–$15,000.
  • Scholarships do not cover living expenses.

No fixed deadline; applications can be submitted anytime after receiving an admission offer.

  3. Create or log in to a MyWaikato account.
  4. Go to the “Scholarships” tab.
  5. Select the relevant scholarship and submit the online application.
