Applications are now open for the UNICORE Scholarship Program 2026, a fully funded opportunity for recognized refugees in selected African countries to pursue a Master’s degree in Italy. The program is designed to expand access to higher education for refugees and allow them to study at leading Italian universities. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Must have official refugee status recognized by UNHCR
• Must reside in one of the following countries:
Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe
• Must be eligible for admission to a Second Cycle (Master’s) Degree Program
• Must meet the specific admission requirements of the chosen university program
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree obtained in 2020 or later, some universities may apply different conditions
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent according to the national grading system
• Must demonstrate English language proficiency, IELTS is not required
• Must not already be enrolled in a program at the participating universities
