The INSAIT Summer Undergraduate
Research Fellowship (SURF) 2026 is a fully funded research opportunity for
undergraduate students to conduct hands-on research at the Institute for
Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) in Sofia,
Bulgaria. The program runs for 8–12 weeks during the summer, during which
students work closely with faculty mentors on cutting-edge projects in
artificial intelligence, computer science, and related STEM areas. Participants
are expected to be present in person in Sofia, Bulgaria, for the full duration
of the fellowship.
Eligibility

Open to undergraduate students currently
enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program.

Applicants should be studying STEM fields such
as computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or related areas.

Minimum GPA requirement of approximately 3.5
(out of 4.0) or equivalent.
·
Students from all nationalities are eligible.
·
First-year undergraduates are also eligible to
apply.
