CERN Administrative Student Programme | Fully-Funded

The CERN Administrative Student Programme 2026-2 is a fully funded internship opportunity for university students interested in gaining practical experience in administrative and support functions within a world-leading scientific organization.

The programme offers hands-on work experience in departments such as Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Communication, Law, Logistics, and other administrative fields. Selected students will work full-time at CERN’s headquarters in Geneva, collaborating with international professionals in a multicultural environment.

The internship duration ranges from 2 to 12 months, with an expected start date around July 2026.

Eligibility
Applicants must:

  • Be a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
  • Be enrolled as a full-time university student at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
  • Have completed at least 18 months (3 semesters) of university studies by the time of selection.
  • Study in a relevant field such as Administration, Business, Finance, Human Resources, Law, Communication, Logistics, Procurement, or related disciplines.
  • Have a good knowledge of English or French.
  • Not hold a PhD and must not have already completed a university degree at the time of application.

Benefits

  • Monthly allowance of approximately 3,452 Swiss Francs (tax-free).
  • 30 days of paid leave per year (pro rata) plus official annual closure days.
  • Health insurance coverage (with contribution deducted from the allowance).
  • Travel allowance to and from Geneva (subject to conditions).
